THE HEAVEN OF VEGETABLES...... (part 3) ....Top Of The World.. KINABALU

Hi everyone....It's been a long time since I wrote the last entry on February... It's holiday.. so I have more time to write new entries...for now...I wanna continue to write about my hometown... KUNDASANG..
Let's focus on the main attraction of Kundasang...which is the gorgeous Mount Kinabalu... =)

I've been to the top of the mountain...I don't like my entries to be too wordy.. let's just view da pictures cuz I believe, a single picture tells a complete story..

....THE JOURNEY BEGAN......

This is my sister, BB...she's in front of our house... and da mountain is just behind our backyard..hihi

Beautiful...isn't it...? Memang untung tinggal kat sini...hari-hari tengok gunung..

A happy family... from left (BB, bapa, me and Ain)

Mama tak ikut sebab dia jaga adik di rumah

This is the Timpohon Gate which can be accessed from Kinabalu National Park and the route to the mountain was shorter compared to the other gate.

    WE ARE READY.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the beginning of the track/route to the mountain.

Nampak macam senang kan....after sometimes, you would   experience an extreme tiredness...believe me...oh yeah... that's my father.....

These are all da pictures we snapped during our journey to Laban Rata Resthouse.....we were supposed to reach there for the first 6 kilometres and we need to take a rest before we continue our journey on the next day.

The view along the track was pretty...!!!!! It's like being in a fairy tale garden.... the view was absofreakinglutely gorgeous.... =)....here....some more......all da pic taken along the track..

hah....we also came across some korean climbers... they were on their way down from Laban Rata Resthouse...that's mean they've reached the top...it made me excited even more...we had a little chat with them....one person cannot speak english and it was funny when he babbling in korean because he couldn't use  english words properly during our conversation...

and we were feeding some mountain squirrels...

at Laban Rata resthouse....we didn't sleep at the resthouse itself....but at workers' quarters...well...we got da cheap package where we only needed to pay for the climbing guide....plus...we brought our own food.

             Can you see the peaks....?

Ain... in front of the workers' quarters

We set off at 9.00am and arrived at Laban Rata at 1.00pm....we took only 4 hours and it was considered as a fast timing...cuz most group took about 6 to 8 hours to reach Laban Rata.... well as expected from an athelete (BB) and the Physical Education teacher (Dad) in our group..... (-_-)

sempat jalan-jalan dan ambik gambar kejap...hehe..

yeah......happy siblings

Below are pics during the night we spent at Laban Rata....we were eating maggie...... bila lapar...semua jadi sedap...

2.00 am

We woke up earlier because we wanted to take more time to prepare for the next journey...it's very cold... I think the temperature was about 14 degree Celsius...during the journey, we got tired easily as there were less oxygen at the mountain...

We stopped 1 kilometer before the main peak for Subuh prayer...and that made us took 3 and a half hour to reach completely the top of da mountain..

Dawn at the mountain....it's 5.30 in the morning.

That was me...

There were other climbers too...

The SUNRISE....!!!!!!

It was almost 6 and I got the chance to see one of the most beautiful sunrise sceneries ever.... =)

The beauty of sunrise on the top of the mountain

After we reached the top, I found out that there were many other climbers who arrived earlier...and its more than hundred of them...I manage to take picture with some..and we spent about 3 hours there just for taking pictures...

for you information, there were many peaks at the area of the top of the mountain...the highest was called Low's Peak, where everybody queued up to take picture in front of the signboard that was made by the first climber who reach there.

kat bawah tu nama dia South Peak.

These were the signboards I mentioned earlier. the place was the highest spot on the mountain.

      pose...pose.....

They're from Finland.

viewed from the top of Low's Peak

Can you spot the face?

This pretty girl was from Korea...haha...just kidding.
She's Lee Kian Tan from Malaysia...

There's natural pool beside Low's Peak..and there were many coins in it...

Some more pictures...

The SOUTH PEAK

DONKEY'S EARS PEAK

Got snow.....??? hahahaha....no lah.......
Here....some more....malas nak cakap banyak2...

Oh yeah....below was taken during our journey of climbing down....we need to climb down before the fog come...the fog would be extremely thick and dangerous that we couldn't even see what's in front of us...some people got lost before and even died because of the fog.....

That green area was Kundasang (click on the word to read more) as seen from the top of Kinabalu.

You see the green field there? That was Desa Cattle.

This was our journey down the mountain. It's quite dangerous. We had to be careful because some people fell and died before....

We took about 3 hours for our journey from Laban Rata back to Tompohon Gate...it's because my sister, BB and me were running and arrived earlier than Ain and father... It was a very precious experience to me...finally, I got to climb the mountain. I'm sure you also wanna reach the top of the mountain...believe me, it's worth trying. even though some people didn't manage to reach the top, they still lucky because they have the chance.
